DISOPRESS 2: COMBINATION OF UNCAPPING MACHINE + OPERCULUM PRESS UNIT 

DISOPRESS 2 is a compact professional machine that speeds the uncapping process. The machine consists of the uncapping machine with heated vibrating knives "Giordan" (code 170K) and the operculum press. DISOPRESS 2 is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel and works by means of the guided passage of the frames through two water-heated vibrating knives that allow to obtain a precise and optimal cut of the operculum. With the uncapping machine the opercula are not crumbled but cut, as with the use of a manual knife. With the addition of the double blade kit (charged separately) there is no need to re-trim the frames after the uncapping process. 

The knives are heated by a hot water heating and recycling unit (included in the machine) and the temperature of the knives can be regulated by a thermostat. The knives also work inside the wooden frame of the combs and can therefore uncaulk even unfilled frames.

Knife adjustment is quick and easy by means of a lever located on the side of the uncapping machine that allows tightening or widening the passage between the knives. The combs introduced manually are automatically guided and inserted between the blades in order to obtain regular and systematic uncapping on both sides.

After uncapping, the operculum removed from the frames is unloaded under the uncapping machine where the operculum press unit is installed. The press is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel and works cold through a perforated net containing an auger that presses the operculum. The press receives the operculum as soon as it has been removed and divides it between wax and honey, thus recovering 90% of the product in a short time and avoiding moving the operculum. The press is equipped with a simple and functional control panel where the speed regulators of the wax squeezing screw with variable pitch are located.
